With MacPherson's closing, I have no idea where to get decent produce in the area. Any suggestions? The produce at places like Kroger and Trader Joe's sucks and PCC is way too expensive.

I go to Lee's in White Center. 9435 Delridge Way SW. It's not up to McPherson's quality, but it's better and far cheaper than the chain groceries.

is there an asian grocery store nearby? I've got a viet wah in my neighborhood and their produce (while sort of niche) is still really cheap.

Good idea. I'll check out more at Seattle Super Market. I just wish they didn't stick the durian up front.

Seattle Super Market is great and has fantastic prices on produce. The options will, naturally, be somewhat different than they are in one of the big chain grocery stores.

Not too far away from them, there's Ba Mien, which similarly has good produce but different options than you are probably used to seeing.

Both are pretty great for seafood.

If you think Trader Joe’s sucks then get ready to work your own garden.

Their tomatoes and most fruit is terrible.

Also, our garden does not run in the winter.

But thanks for the helpful suggestion.
