So kind of like Tails but for I2P instead. Seems interesting. Thanks for letting me know about this!

I believe Tails already supports I2P, you just have to enable it in the terminal and reboot.

I don't know who this developer is, maybe they are well-known and well regarded.

I just know that for an OS, better to be safe than sorry and go with and established and well respected project such as Tails IMO.

Not trying discourage users from trying it, just that they should be mindful of the risks and adjust their behavior accordingly.

I tried using i2p from Tails a few months ago and found that i2p support was dropped unfortunately

[–] ArcaneSlime@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 1 month ago

Yeah they dropped support in 2017.

This sounds interesting. Something I'd give a shot. But the Github doesn't have much to go by. Yet?

Would you prefer AAOSfI2PN?

Neat project but i question why they chose systemD for there init system?

[–] XTL@sopuli.xyz 2 points 1 month ago

Probably because it's the best. Or the default on whatever platform they use (best with extra steps).

it uses x11; wouldn't that make it less secure?

Yes, for a number of reasons like keyloggers and screen recorders without root or user warning required.
