Doesn't need to be anything too specific, a broad history would be fine. I've heard of 'a people's history of the German revolution', but i don't know if it's any good.

I can't help you with books but Bes D. Marx made a video essay series on the German Revolution on Youtube that you can watch. And in his sources there's probably also a couple of good books on it that you can read.
