There are other wordle sites BTW so it's not like you have to stop playing the game, just don't use NYT's version.

Are there other versions of connect or strands? I don't mind not playing those, but having alternatives would be nice.

https://connections.swellgarfo.com has the connections from nyt, and even lets you play all the previous ones. Same with https://connectionsplus.io

It doesn't get them money, but it still registers as engagement with the audience which I think is really the only true metric.
