Can someone tell me what "FOSS" means? I get it in context, but what's the acronym? I'll look it up later if need be

I've found Thunder to be the best so far. But I'm holding out for Boost.

Sync is the only thing (or Apollo) that will now make me use Lemmy at all because I can't stand how crappy it looks and works without it.

It's an inconvenient truth for sure. I'm using sync right now because it's the best app experience on android at the moment if you don't need to top level post and because I used it with Reddit. This wasn't a big deal with Reddit imo, but using a closed source app to access an open source platform feels wrong.

At least we aren't using reddit! Anyway it doesn't affect you what app I'm using. As long as I support my lenmy instance everything will be fine. Relax

Can someone lay this to rest for me? What is FOSS? I think I get in some capacity that it's Lemmy... but?

as a software engineer there's nothing wrong with that, but I think the developer should lower the add-free fee

Currently flip between lift off, connect, jebroa and web browser and sync... Waiting patiently for Boost for Lemmy... But not found a favourite app yet...
