When I read these, I always wonder: if pre-war miltech was so good, why was the was lost, and how can it help now? While Linux isn't necessarily the hero of this story, an analogy about why Linux is doing better against Windows isn't because we reach back to 80's technology; it's because Linux has gotten better, and Windows ... hasn't.

I just wonder. Pre-war miltech is so prized, and I wonder why.

I have doubts about Linux becoming better. Better for whom, the users or the corporations?
