So I Use SmartTube for fire stick And Newpipe for Android

Has anyone else experienced issues lately with crashing and videos being unable to finish? Both applications have been giving me issues lately is this YT trying to crack down on cracked apps?

neither of those are "cracked" apps, they're separate clients.

Youtube often changes things on their end, and it can take a while for Newpipe and the like to catch up with the changes.

Sorry, I didn't know the difference

That's probably what it is, just gonna wait for the next update

the difference is that they're not modifications of the official Youtube app to unlock paid features for free (which you can tell from how they look completely different), they're written from scratch as separate entities.

Sometimes I get a crash or loading issues with NewPipe, more so on my somewhat older Samsung phone. YouTube does change how videos are accessed so the apps need to update every time that happens. When that happens the crashes and constant loading/stuttering happens a lot. You could try to clear in app cache/data or default resolution to 720p or 1080p. If it still happens then an update needs to come out.

I think this is what has happened.

Very early alpha. I tried it and wasn't happy with the load times for search and the difficultly of finding some things.
