woke up with headache again, just been resting and sleeping, but now I'm up and listening to jazz, first up some trad, then some dixie and lastly some jive . Might grab some zydeco too.

so everything calm and cool

Craving seafood so bad! Two separate dreams about eating lobster last night. I really need to fix this.

JeansThe jeans still whiff slightly after two further washes with napisan and then a cleaning vinegar rinse. They’re hanging outside to dry now in the hope of getting some uv rays. It’s a lot better but tbh I might just use them as gardening pants.

Honestly I would have just got rid of them but they’re a good style and fit which I have trouble finding these days.

GardenMy plants are looking a bit sad because I’ve had my hands full. The zucchini have bad powdery mildew and one fruit is rotting from the blossom end so I sprayed and gave fertiliser for calcium.

Cat healthMelbcat is having a hard time. She’s still got the uti because I stopped the antibiotics (due to the possibility that they were the cause of the eye damage). She’s gone back on them as well as starting blood pressure meds so she’s currently in that awful zone where you’re taking gross meds but don’t feel better yet.

I’m so tired. Today has consisted of running the dishwasher and doing a laundry just so I don’t get buried again but the rest of it has been spent in bed. Walking a couple of times took my energy for the whole week.

Melbcat has been feeling really crappy, resting in her bed or cuddling in mine. She’s had her meds so I hope she feels a tiny bit of relief.

Severance S2E4How did Irving know Helena was an Eagan?

[–] Duenan@aussie.zone 4 points 1 month ago (7 children)

Tap for spoilerI think combined with Irving realising that Helly wasn’t mean when she made the comment about Bert, the gardener comment when recalling what she saw in the outside world and him realising that only someone with a massive amount of power could enable an outie to come into the team while suppressing the innie personality.

I watched the Conclave last night.

The Pope has died and a new one must be selected.

Strong performances all around from a great cast. Ralph Fiennes is lead actor here. He’s always brooding and always in doubt, but manages to bravely steer the voting process through Catholic politics and scheming.

Stanley Tucci is magnetic. Truly owns every scene. How does he do that?

Isabella Rossellini, I haven’t seen her in a long while. She portrays a truly formidable nun. Scary at times.

Cinematography is top tier. Some really nice conceptual shots here

By today’s standards, the film can be slow at times, but I don’t mind it. Most films used to be that way. It gives some time to reflect, which is perfect for this particular religious subject matter.

Oh and there is a massive twist at the end., which is fantastic if it’s your first viewing, but, I tend to watch movies repeatedly if I like them.

4.5/5 Hail Marys
