It's pretty hard these days to even get some seeding done on most things I look at.

[–] Empricorn@feddit.nl 22 points 1 day ago

You seed that amputee furry midget porn until it hits 1.0!!! I don't care if it takes all year!

[–] SuperIce@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I always seed to 3 on public trackers. Never had any issues getting that ratio.

[–] ogmios@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I rarely even get anyone requesting a single byte, regardless of how long I leave torrents open.

are your network settings good? if using a vpn, are you using port forwarding?

my ratios were bad for a long time as well, but after setting up port forwarding there are no issues reaching a higher than 1 ratio.

It's more about Internet speeds I think. When I download I can almost always get whatever near instantly from hundreds of active seeders. There's simply not enough demand to tax the networks to the point they need to connect to small timers like me, I imagine.

Listen bro, I'm not pirating anything.

But I'm real friendly with a server in a Singaporean datacenter that is

No lose sitch. Either they stole it , or torrenting is legal. Court has to rule one way or another.

They are trying to slip the distribution charge, but they can’t because they fed it to their AI

[–] nsrxn@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 1 day ago

that's not distribution

[–] neidu3@sh.itjust.works 20 points 1 day ago

We all knew zuck was a bitch, but he just admitted to having an awful ratio. Pathetic.

signature look of superiority

Well in that case. I'd like to request a free meta quest. I won't give it to anyone else... I may dismantle it and redistribute the parts for profit though.

After so many years of corporations fighting The Pirate Bay, you'd think the courts are well versed in the laws regarding torrenting by now.

[–] finitebanjo@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago

They're actually correct. They're assholes, but they are correct. Piracy isn't illegal, distribution is.

[–] Quill7513@slrpnk.net 11 points 1 day ago

that's even worse!

Its the same argument that the Canadian supreme court briefly legalized downloading 20 years ago.
