Original Title: TIL in the 1960s, Aussie athlete Reg Spiers mailed himself home from London to Australia in a wooden crate to make it back for his daughter’s birthday. He endured delays, extreme heat, and flipped upside down in Bombay. Once in Perth, he broke out of a storage shed, hitched a ride, and made it home.
