Original Title: TIL in a very early conflict of the Revolutionary War, a contingent of North Carolina militia battled British Loyalists armed only with swords in the Battle of Moore's Creek Bridge. In less than an hour, the militia inflicted 50 British casualties and captured 850, while suffering only 2 casualties.
