Gibt's eigentlich auch schon eine Shop-übergreifende Suchmaschine, die neben dem Preis auch Aspekte wie europäische Herkunft, Nachhaltigkeit etc. berücksichtigen? Ich nutze momentan meist Idealo (immerhin aus Deutschland) oder Google Shopping, wenn ich einen Händler für etwas suche.
Bonuspunkte wären, wenn auch Gebrauchtkaufportale (Kleinanzeigen, Medimops, Vinted, eBay) mit in die Suchergebnisse einbezogen würden.
Geh auf Geizhals.de , denn Idealo gehört zu Axel Springer. Wir müssen jetzt nicht unsere eigenen MAGA-Milliardäre unterstützen
Danke, Geizhals kenne ich. Das ist genial, wenn man Elektronik kaufen und anhand bestimmter Merkmale filtern möchte. Auch die Warenkorb-Funktion ist genial, um für eine Zusammenstellung verschiedener Artikel einen Händler zu finden der alles anbietet oder zumindest die beste Kombination mehrerer Händler.
Für viele andere Kategorien ist Geizhals meiner Meinung nach aber kaum zu gebrauchen.
Suche ich beispielsweise nach iriedaily (Berliner Klamottenmarke) in der Kategorie Sweatshirts, so finde ich einen Treffer und das ist ein Pullover von Adidas, bei dem iriedaily nur mitgewirkt hat.
Bei Idealo sind es 493 verschiedene Modelle.
Schönes Beispiel wo ich merke wie schwer es mir fällt, Routinen zu brechen.

So eine Suchmaschine gibt es meines Wissens nach nicht. Für alles andere haben alle Suchmaschinen von DDG bis startpage noch Produktsuchen. Aber die Metainformationen gibt es so zentralisiert nicht. Eine Datenbank für Nachhaltigkeit hat das australische goodonyou, aber wie integriert/integrierbar das ist, ist mir nicht bekannt.
Für deine Idee müsste man eigentlich all die Daten (siehe Where to start?) sofern nicht offen scrappen (😈) und kombinieren.

OTTO.de is probably the best alternative as a complete package. In other words, a site that is not limited to a certain product range. The way I currently do it is that I always search for everything at OTTO.de first, then at Geizhals.de or simply via Ecosia. I only go to Amazon if all these searches are unsuccessful.

I'm not quite sure what the best way to host such a list would be.
Maybe we could have one place with resources for all European countries?
I don't know your technical background and this is not ment to be condescending:
Technical people tend to use github/gitlab or codeberg to make a plain list of things base on git version control, so changes are tracked.
These lists are often introduced with the prefix awesome (e.g. awesome-hosting, awesome-lemmy, ...). Even when the community participates, curating these lists takes a lot of time.
I'm thinking of it more from a usability perspective. Im not sure if dozens of forked repositories would make it easy for the average person to find information
Having a single link to a repo with information for everyone could be very useful
Edit: Or alternatively a meta repository that links through to the individual national repositories?
Well, for the end user, if the markdown is simple well structured, it could be parsed to deployed to a website.
Or you could use any static page or documentation generator.
Well, the suggested list is specifically German speaking.
Maybe there is a fork for the Netherlands and if not, it could be started on your initative?
