As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Right now I think I still gotta give it to Boundaries - Death is Little More. Just aggressive and raw and pummels me right in the face and the feels. What are your thoughts?

A bit late but definitely agree with the Boundaries album. Not sure if we're counting EPs but the recent Counterparts release is insane.

Ohhh yeah dude I still blast that Counterparts EP. It's different and it's heavy, but damn it do they freaking crush it!
