Oh good. Last time I checked, this thing can’t even handle “play music” and “navigate home” when I’m driving.

It needs to improve a lot, I don't think 2025 is a good fit for this change.

Then just dont use it. I don't use it. But I wasn't given an option to not have Gemini it just showed up.

The world of android is bigger than the plateful of shit Google gives you. You can refuse the plate and choose your own, sans shit.

And are they gonna have Gemini upgraded to have google assistants basic functions like calling and sending messages to contacts, setting reminders and timers, and actually give a response to a question that isn't "it's more complicated than it seems, here's a 5000 word essay on your extremely simple question"?

So far they haven't gotten a single toe, let alone a step, into the right direction.
