I need one for general purposes only, NOT for gaming, so I don't really care about gaming-related features.

I'm going to buy it in Asia, as that's where I live (Vietnam specifically), and would appreciate any advice. ๐Ÿ™‚

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G is great if you want a new budget phone, you can look up reviews on YouTube for that phone. Trying to find a used flagship is another good idea.

Margot's budget phones thread has also good recommendations: https://lemmy.world/post/4846313

Blu makes some decent phones for pretty cheap. I used the Bold N1 for quite a while. I believe the Bold N2 is out now but I've admittedly moved onto a Pixel since I've had the budget for it.

I use a a Motorola g30. Was the cheapest one in the shop a few years back. Not too inundated by bloatware.

I would also look into getting a flagship phone from a couple years ago, I find that they can be a lot nicer than a budget or mid range phone.

I'm using a Sony Xperia 1 III and I love it to bits. Bought it brand new for over 1000$ and 2 years after its release you can find it for 500$, refurbished with warranty, in excellent condition.
