Azumanga Daioh counts, I suppose.

soul healing anime

Sweetness and Lightning - Father Daughter wholesome.

Barakamon - similar

Mushishi - mystery solving with ancient spirituality twists

Aria - the anime that defined cozy shows. Absolutely nothing happens and it's perfect that way.

Flying Witch - Cozy everyday life as a witch

I don't know if any of these truly meet "consistent plot" though. Story driven stuff requires character arcs which usually don't conform well to "soul healing" shows because stories require drama and twists.

Mushishi is the absolute chillest. It was absolutely "soul-healing" in my experience. But you're right it's limited in terms of an overarching plot.

Yeah it was super cute for sure. Absolutely one of the first things that springs to my mind for soul healing.

Mushishi and Aria were big ones for me too at a rough point in life. They were my go to sleep anime, they could be put on and I could be distracted enough by them to fall asleep at a time when I otherwise couldn't really get to sleep if alone with my thoughts. I'd just repeat eps from wherever I last remember getting up to before sleep each night so each ep could last me several days lol.

Ping pong the animation

Mushi-shi and Yokohama Shopping Trip are the only serene anime that I found weren't empty and boring as fuck. Maybe Kamichu too but I haven't watched that in a while.

Anime movies are probably better at having more relaxing pacing while not feeling like empty nothingness like Yuru Camp or Non Non Biyori. I find Ponyo or Garden Of Words way more chill.

Mushishi was going to be my recommendation. Such a good anime and nothing ever happens in the best way possible

Prozd put out some recent videos about anime recommendations, and it reminded me that Haikyuu is really fun and I would say it's good for the soul.

Senko-san, yuru camp, (mono is an anime that will be airing this season by the same creator of yuru camp)

This is the only correct answer

Found this anime the other day. Credit to it for sure.

I might be too mentally downtrodden for it though.

Nothing to say about the anime itself, though.

Mashle: Muscles and Magic. It's a comedy that is also mostly wholesome. Like a parody of Harry Potter meets One Punch Man. What if OPM lived in a magical world where everyone else could use magic and then he went to Hogwarts?

Not exactly sure what you mean by soul healing but Food Wars (Shokugeki no Soma) is what I watch when I'm depressed. It's hilarious and the worst thing that ever happens is the main character loses a cooking contest. It also has legit useful cooking tips.

It is extremely horny though, not between the characters but every time someone eats something delicious they have a foodgasum.

[–] GoodGuyWithACat@hexbear.net 3 points 5 days ago

Lmao I would not have thought of Food Wars as soul healing but whatever floats your boat.

That last paragraph...

If you're at all familiar with the fate universe, Today's Menu for the Emiya Family is the ultimate feel good, beautiful food vibes for me.
