And to frighten your own child for life.

Or to die. I guess if he won't cooperate and they won't be able to get the daughter out safely they will either disarm or disable him non-lethal or if not possible kill him. Also no way that they will let him board a plane with arms and explosives

This must be one of the worst ways to flee a country with your kidnapped child. Why would you go to one of the most secure places possible and then proceed to shoot randomly in the air. The dude must be mentally ill.

I would just drive. Probably no border control all the way to Turkey.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

German authorities were negotiating with a man who used his car to break into the secure area of the Hamburg airport, prompting an hourslong standoff.

While details remain scarce, the suspect is believed to have his young daughter in the car with him and is keeping the child hostage.

Some time later, the man drove through a closed gate at the Hamburg airport, firing two shots in the air and throwing "some sort of Molotov cocktails," according to the police.

A police spokeswoman later told the DPA news agency that the negotiations are conducted in Turkish.

The incident prompted a large police deployment, with SWAT teams also on the scene.

"To ensure the safety of air traffic, apart from structural measures, alarm chains have been set up that worked faultlessly," the spokeswoman told the DPA news agency.

The original article contains 378 words, the summary contains 136 words. Saved 64%. I'm a bot and I'm open source!
