I was a long time contributor at r/decaf and it supported those who were suffering through their dark night of the soul. And caffeine withdrawal. Although that is debatable, apparently.

I’ve seen zealots demand uncaffination, Brits that can’t give up their cuppa, and many, many people suffering from nervous system toxicity from a lack of balance in their lives.

The low-caf life has been great. I have some occasional chocolate (does that make me a heretic?). Hot chocolate on a cold night is especially nice.

But I did my sober time, I turned it around from a daily driver to a rarely nice to have. Being very much addicted to coffee first thing in the morning and use all day long left me haggard. My sleep suffered, my social skills were blunted, and my life has improved with the wise moderation of a very strong drug.

So that’s my intro. What do you want from this community? Venting? Check. Confirmation? Yes. Debate? Debatable.

Let’s have fun without the anxiety and let the good times roll.
