For real though, May Day was awesome. I haven't been this hopeful about politics since before the DNC snubbed Bernie.
The aforementioned snubbing was such a weirdly pivotal moment. I hadn't been excited before that cycle and I've been so cynical ever since. The berndog is somehow still such a main character in my political life. It's always been bernievibes vs trumpism to me. Biden was a nice break from needing to constantly monitor the situation (comfort in immobility and the milquetoast status quo). Now I'm watching a fat billionaire doing a limp dictatorship, and as always he's opposed by oberni wan Kenobi. An increasingly icky and ever escalatory pantomime of the dumbest parts of human history. I'm tired.
