Outages are cause for celebration- the day it goes down for good will be a holiday.

F Elon and the felon.

[–] chainysawrs@lemmy.world 1 points 5 hours ago (2 children)

Oh my god, this just struck me while reading your last line, but is Elon’s name really pronounced “Ellen” and he’s just tried to convince everyone it’s “E-lawn”?

Like on Mythic Quest where Ian convinced everyone his name is pronounced “eye-on”

[–] taladar@sh.itjust.works 4 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

No, sorry, English pronunciation is just completely fucked all on its own.

[–] chainysawrs@lemmy.world 2 points 4 hours ago

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

"Eye-on" would be pronounced the same as "ion," a charged particle. It was more like "eye-in."

There was fire reported in one data center of Musk reported by Wired a couple of days ago...

[–] towerful@programming.dev 17 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

1 fire took down twitter globally?
That's some great streamlining that Musk has done.

Knowing him, he probably decided to solve that one with a water hose.
