An article on why Meta entering the fediverse is not necessarily a good thing.

This is the first time I think I a more convinced that Meta joining isn't in the Fediverse's best interest. The front end is where the users "go", they don't know about the backend. If the front end points to new places, they would have no idea. So Fediverse going to meta, just gives meta users access to more of the internet, at the pleasure of meta's whims. It's partially an issue with the Fediverse model of giving admins power over the communities and users that they host. That, extended to Meta, shows the cracks the most, I think.
