Self-driving in six months. Mars by 2024.

I would hazard a guess that If one were to draw a venn diagram of people who up voted your comment, and people who just a few years ago, told me repeatedly that trucking jobs were going away in a few years due to self driving trucks, there'd be an awful lot of overlap.....

Can almost guarantee it's driven remotely by some underpaid Indian team

40 minute uncut video of Tesla robocar in LA. Impressive. It may be a cheat using remote drivers I suppose.

Here is a short video showing Tesla robocar ignoring a school bus' stop signs and flashing lights.

That was probably the actual software, when it's actually released it'll probably be human ran.

[–] sqgl@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 weeks ago

It will be remotely human run.

Is that actually the robo taxi they are testing or a consumer car running FSD v13? They are not even close to the same thing.

[–] sqgl@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 weeks ago

Consumer car

What if I want to take the cab but I'm not a cutie?

[–] Zier@fedia.io 1 points 2 weeks ago

To remain a cutie, avoid the death cab. ;)

I read Cybercrab for some reason and was really confused.

Holy shit I just realized it didn't say cybercrab 😭

Good a cybercrab sounds so cute and I wouldn't want to have to associate it with Muskrat

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

Cybercrab indeed sound much better. If I had the money and the expertise in robotics, I'd made that happen.

Who cares about this shit bro take a taxi like a normal person and move on with ur life

[–] Bogasse@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 weeks ago

So mythical that it's the first time I hear of this BS 🤷

[–] SharkAttak@kbin.melroy.org 2 points 2 weeks ago

...as soon as it's out, of course.

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 2 points 2 weeks ago

Mythical?

Plain imaginary

This is going to be a “fixing your own pothole” situation. Sometimes, when your community is facing a deadly or costly threat, you need to take matters into your own hands to remove the threat.

I thought Trump and Elon had a major falling out?

Actually now that I think of it, news about that fizzled out very quickly. Did they silently kiss and make up behind closed doors or something?
