How is /r/firefox still private?

/r/running had a poll and most people went for indefinitely blackout. A few days later it went public again. I tried to ask what was going on with the plan but the post was immediately removed.

It appears that Reddit drove out the mods and put in new mods. But I am glad to see the majority had gone and not much new posts about running.

Now I wonder how/r/firefox can still be private.

I don't know but I'm proud of them for sticking up for what's right against the robber-barrons trying to enclose the commons of our collective communication platform.

So does keeping the subreddit closed. The best protest is leaving. The best way to accomplish this is the show the audience where the escape door is

Also, they could just make a sock puppet account the moderator and let the sockpuppet change the closure banner. It's not me /u/spez ! It's the sockpuppet !

Also, all moderators deleting all posts (we have backups no worries), then filling the subreddit back up with millions of penis pill spam, banning all users who ever participated, and then unmodding all moderators and finally all moderators deleted all their posts and comments and their account.

Now that is a proper protest !

Firefox actually has a link that goes to their sister kbin community, but you don't see it until you click chat with us. So I don't think lot of people knew /r/firefox has gotten set up on the fediverse.

A few mods are trying to stick to their guns, ruining Reddit for everyone else. Hopefully Reddit can wipe these guys out asap. 99% of Reddit users could careless about the api changes.

What is this take, Huffman is ruinning Reddit with classic enshittification (a scholarly term)

Huffman and his ilk need to get the Marie-Antoinette treatment because they are fucking robbers trying to enclose the commons of our collective discussion.

We don't need them, they blitzscaled to outgrown opensource community decentralized platform like now defunct IRC/NNTP

Now they want to cash out before the open source movement produces a superior product. I can't wait until they get the taste of ash in their mouth.

Thank Huffman for setting Reddit on fire, the world will be a better place when you and reddit are gone.
