I kinda miss having a cat... I thought about getting one once I live on my own but working 8 hours a day and having pets don't mix that well.

Oh they're pretty independent and don't mind chilling by themselves. That cat chilled in a caravan all day and was happy. Thirteen years old.

I assume it's an indoor cat by the leash? I can't remember if my cat actually minded being alone but she was pretty much free to leave the house whenever anyway, I wouldn't really allow that nowadays.

Cats get used to being indoor cats. And yes I'm not a fan of letting them wander. The statistics of their kills are awful.
