Dear Australian Government, take note. Dear ASIO, please ignore.

The entirely expected outcome. Read the room, Meta.

The only way it's okay to give European citizens data to the US is directly from the Europes own gathering efforts to the CIA.

A German court has ruled that Meta must pay €5,000 ($5,900) to a German Facebook user who sued the platform for embedding tracking technology in third-party websites — a ruling that could open the door to large fines down the road over data privacy violations relating to pixels and similar tools.

How about you help create some independent viable alternatives from open source platforms than be held hostage every time a privacy incident occurs?

Facebook will gladly threaten to leave the EU if this gets any traction and politicians will act like they have no option but to bend over.
