Washington has Tillicum and Georgia has Cumming. This map was not well thought out

[–] ArtificialLink@lemmy.ca 11 points 9 months ago

I love Cumming, ^GA

[–] grue@lemmy.world 6 points 9 months ago

North Dakota had better have absolutely nothing else even slightly risque, in order to have any hope of justifying its theft of GA's rightful entry.

"Tulsa" is just "a slut" spelled backwards.

[–] AccmRazr@lemm.ee 12 points 9 months ago (2 children)

Yeah but Oklahoma has a small town called Peggs

[–] spicytuna62@lemmy.world 10 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

We have plenty of funny town names here, but my favorites are Hooker, Slapout, Stringtown, and Hoot Owl.

[–] Ithi@lemmy.ca 8 points 9 months ago

"Peggs" is just "Sggep" spelled backwards.

[–] Sentinian@lemmy.one 23 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Only Ohio would have pee pee township lmao

[–] ObviouslyNotBanana@lemmy.world 4 points 9 months ago

Pee pee is my favorite township

[–] TheBlue22@lemmy.blahaj.zone 23 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago) (2 children)

I refuse to believe there is a town in America called Rough&Ready

[–] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 21 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago) (1 children)

I was literally there today 🤣

We also have a city in this state by the name of "City of Industry." Not simply "Industry" but "City of Industry." And "Carmel by the Sea" as opposed to just "Carmel" or "Carmel by the Dumpster Fire off 99."

[–] TheBlue22@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 9 months ago

Thats crazy. I mean my country has some goofy names for small towns and villages but this takes it to another level entirely

[–] ares35@kbin.social 23 points 9 months ago (1 children)

it takes less than two hours to get from bonesteel to gayville.

[–] ObviouslyNotBanana@lemmy.world 12 points 9 months ago

That's what I like to hear

[–] MegaTony@lemmy.world 18 points 9 months ago (2 children)
[–] ObviouslyNotBanana@lemmy.world 12 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I'm guessing it's because the map already has Cummings.

[–] grue@lemmy.world 12 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

But Butts isn't even a town; it's a county.

This map is wack. It should be Cumming!

the states containing Dry Wood and Lubers are bordering each other, yet the wood remains dry

Bigbone, KY is home to a nice state park called Big Bone Lick.

[–] MethodicalSpark@lemmy.world 3 points 9 months ago

They have Bison. Went there a few weeks ago. Pretty cool park!

“Cozy corner” isn’t actually that bad of a town name

[–] bingbong@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 9 months ago

At night, it becomes wanker's corner

[–] MycoBro@lemmy.world 13 points 9 months ago

There is a Gross Tête, Louisiana too

[–] soupyc@lemmy.world 13 points 9 months ago (5 children)

Napo'opo'o isn't 'Na poo poo'

[–] ObviouslyNotBanana@lemmy.world 3 points 9 months ago

That makes perfect sense

They choose Kiester over Gaylord, Moorhead (morehead), or Climax‽

[–] ObviouslyNotBanana@lemmy.world 6 points 9 months ago

Tbf Climax was already on the map. Moorhead is pretty good though

[–] Semi-Hemi-Demigod@kbin.social 11 points 9 months ago (1 children)

The road from Blue Ball to Paradise runs through Intercourse.

[–] QuincyPeck@lemmy.world 3 points 9 months ago

As it should.

[–] Sewer_King@lemmy.world 11 points 9 months ago

Goochland, Virginia is underrepresented here.

[–] OKULTRA@lemmy.blahaj.zone 11 points 9 months ago

[–] mercury@lemmy.blahaj.zone 10 points 9 months ago

[–] signor@lemmy.world 9 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Mary’s Igloo is too much for me.

Tbf it's technically just part of a town and not an actual town but there is Mianus CT

Bald Knob Arkansas is way more lewd than Weiner

[–] Goldmage263@sh.itjust.works 6 points 9 months ago

I mean, Dry Wood is good for Kansas, but Seaman also makes a strong showing as does Great Bend and Cawker City.

[–] tamal3@lemmy.world 6 points 9 months ago

What is Humptulips...

[–] DerArzt@lemmy.world 6 points 9 months ago

I don't know man, I live in Iowa and we have balltown and cumming (not sure which is better)

[–] BaronVonBort@lemmy.world 5 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Glaze City, TX should be a contender as well.

[–] ObviouslyNotBanana@lemmy.world 7 points 9 months ago

Shaftsbury is pretty good

[–] riodoro1@lemmy.world 4 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Is no one gonna talk about Splunge?

[–] TimewornTraveler@lemm.ee 4 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

Oh, PA probably gets way weirder than Intercourse.

Also doesn't MI have Exit 69: Big Beaver Rd? Also there's Hell, MI. Those are both way better than Dick, MI.

[–] timelighter@lemmy.world 4 points 9 months ago

Someone explain ballplay to me

[–] Adori@lemmy.world 4 points 9 months ago
