"Journalist can't go to West Papua, it's part of the fact that New Zealanders are blind to the fact that there are thousands of displaced people with no international help and New Zealand stays quiet about it.

I think a West Papua group still has a New Zealander hostage.

It is quite strange how New Zealand pays so little attention to this issue.

@testing yes. The new government is the most right-wing NZ has had in decades, so I wouldn't expect any change on this issue.

By "West Papua" do they mean the town at the extreme west end of the island or the entire western half of New Guinea?
