I don't know what took me, but I tried to lather Ishtar with a boar - a terrible idea. I used a huge quantity of soap, but the lather just vanished on my skin. Scent strength is also going south. Next time I'll try with a synthetic brush, and if that doesn't help, maybe with distilled water as well.
Minor good news: no cuts or weepers.

Good shave today. These blades are ok but lack longevity after about 5 shaves they do not perform well anymore.
Adventus calendarian and Mob Boss u/Jwoods23 declared today to be Irisch Moos day, but it's Tabac Tuesday. Luckily, they also suggested how to resolve this merge conflict, and it can be seen looming in the background of my SOTD pic.
My Tabak brush is suddenly shedding many more bristles than usual. Today it must have lost 100 bristles while typically, it would shed one or two from time to time. Not a good omen for this Zenith knot. I'm hesitating between letting it take its course and immediately replacing it, maybe by a Chisel&Hound badger knot?

Yeah, it's not ideal. The knot was first used in the 2022 Lather Games and has seen about 100 uses
I'm Moosless, so I'll have to stick with Tabac which I'll use just before hitting the road to do some traveling. Love the SLS idea, btw.

I think the Fanchurian knots are great. If you decide to go that way, I don't think you'll be disappointed. I'm hoping to pick up another C&H brush in today's handle drop.

Shave #2 on this blade was much better. Presumably my technique was better than yesterday, too.
Very enjoyable Moosday Tuesday SLS with the little green hair shaper. I don't use shave sticks very often, so there's still a little bit of novelty in it which I enjoy.
Love the shift in focal plane for the SLS photo! Great idea!

I should have used a bigger aperture and better placement to increase the effect, but it was made in a bit of a hurry. But I think I like the idea and will revisit it
