If this don't fit just let me know Normally we have 2 or 3 families of blue jays around the property, but they've been gone.

A few stopped coming around mid November, then the rest were gone late November, not even hearing them.

I know they got weird migration patterns but I just wanted to check if that was a normal time for them to leave? I'm in midwest/south US

sorry nobody has replied - I'm no help for you from here in Puerto Rico. Are you familiar with the site iNaturalist.org? When we're looking for a species that seems to be missing, we use iNaturalist to check for sightings in the region. You can filter by dates.

They may have all decided to over-winter here at our place. Joking aside - The blue jays have definitely stuck around for us the last two winters.

We have dozens at every feeding station and they are pushing all the other species away.
