A whoooole new lemmy.world!
A whoooole new lemmy.world!
I wish Reddit apps were promoting Lemmy in their shut down message to users.
I can show you lemmy.world, Shining, shimmering, splendid!
Just deleted my account and uninstalled Boost. Sad day for the Internet.
Sad? Yes and no if you ask me. Sure, it is a shame that 3th party apps got killed and people are leaving Reddit. On the other hand, people join Lemmy and 3th party apps can switch to a new platform if they want to. The only loser is Reddit.
1nd party apps suck. 2st party apps are fobidden. 3th party apps are priced out. Maybe 4rd party apps will prevail!
More like π€ we don't want to be bombarded with what will be left of Reddit. Be bots and trolls. Maybe a few good people but I hope we keep up the vetting wall and not just letting people mass sign up.
I would say, itβs less sad and more liberating to be honest with you. Iβll certainly continue to use Reddit in the long term, but it will be much more in frequently than it was in the past. Moving forward I think this is going to be the primary place where I spend my time. Itβll be cool to see it grow from what it was just a month ago.

Best movie ever.

No but really, it takes some getting used to, but glad I made the jump.
Yeah, it's not yet got everything Reddit had but I've found a lot of great communities which are really enjoyable to participate in so I'm enjoying it more here
Well, the big shock for those who haven't paid attention will come tomorrow. I'd expect a huge influx of users over the weekend
