After a tour through all five generations of GEM Micromatics, I'm back with the Peerless, which is my most recently acquired and least used Micromatic.
The fragrances today are those of adventure. Starting with a walk through a green lush and muddy Varen Forest to pick up the two-stroke bike VoA that brings me to a camp site, somewhere on a summer field, with the scent of grass and Shire tobacco.
Soap buds. That lid has seen better days.

Great shave. This soap performs very well, slick, and lathers quickly.
The aftershave scent is excellent. Very pleasant and quite strong. It is so much more than I was expecting. This is absolutely NOT just a pine tree hanging car freshener with a twist.

Lather: London Razors - Coffee & Contemplation - Soap
Toner: Thayers - Cucumber - Toner
Aftershave: Barrister and Mann - Leviathan - Aftershave
Talc: Yardley Gold
2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.
Coffee & Contemplation followed by Leviathan is a much better pairing than I expected. C&C is like an appetizer or amuse-bouche and Leviathan hits like the main course. Awesome shave.

This Weiny aftershave hurts so much. I think it's a combination of too much menthol and a bit of frag burn. Other CL aftershaves don't feel this bad. Smells great, but I think I'll be getting rid of it.
Did you add the menthol in the splash or did the original CL weinis come mentholated?
I have the DG version where you get the little bottle of menthol drops to add it you like (which I didn't)
I used to have a used bottle of DG weinis that must have had the full menthol bottle.
The CL version has it be default is all I can figure. This is also a used bottle so it might have some aftermarket stuff in there.
Menthol is listed in the ingredients, but it's also listed on my other CL aftershaves. This is the only one which is actually cold, though.
