Stallman is one of those guys that would've been a marxist if he was introduced to the theory and if he didn't live in the US during the red scare paranoia.

His argument there is a solid one. In Marxist terms, society needs to allocate some portion of our surplus value to take care of people who can't take care of themselves, as well as providing non-consumer goods like infrastructure, health care, etc. That's from critique of the gotha programme.

Anarchists have zero answers for this problem, other than hoping people in the gift economy will randomly provide strangers with these vital things.
