I'm pretty sure Dame timed it so that Grant got paid before making his request. As you can see from the free agent transactions, the FA market is not that hot. Lakers were able to re-sign most of their FAs on the cheap.
Wonder how happy Grant is about this situation and if he already knew. Probably getting paid far more than he would have on a different team, but now has to hope that Scoot is as advertised and that Sharpe is continuing to make a leap if he wants to compete.
And why in the world did we let go of Watford if we're going young? I really don't get it unless this is a shock to the FO.
Honestly, bring Watford back!
The Front Office should only consider the maximum return possible. Him forcing his way to Miami to get a paltry return would be a disservice to Sc00t and Shaedon.
