Full article ... (and I hope the asshole spends the rest of his life in a South African jail).

American national, Derek Lewitton, 53, arrested for contravening the National Biodiversity Act.

The Hawks have arrested an American national and launched a massive investigation after they discovered 26 unreported rhino carcasses at a Limpopo game farm near Gravelotte last Friday.

Derek Lewitton, 53, a controversial and outspoken figure in the contentious rhino horn trade debate, was taken into police custody shortly before midnight on Friday following an intensive 16-hour-long investigation at his Harmony game farm.

“Besides 26 unreported rhino carcasses that were discovered on the property, our members also found 10 unmarked rhino horns without the required paperwork in a safe, in the main farmhouse,” said Limpopo police spokesperson Brigadier Hulani Mashaba.

FYI "The Hawks" is a branch of SAPS, the south African police services: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawks_%28South_Africa%29

I think people misunderstood you.

I took your statement to mean that we should let the South African wildlife kill and eat him.

That's what I thought at well. Nature has a way of sorting out poachers like this.

I’d much prefer that he rots in a South African prison for the rest of his life

I vote for this option instead.

Isn't there a more humane way? Can't we just tranquilize the man with a bunch of ketamine, saw of his horn, and release him back into the wild somehow?

Saw off his 'horn'.
