You can't fault someone for trying the app and if it works for their use-case, that doesn't make them dumb. Yes it's shitty for most of us, but for someone just casually browsing on the toilet and not commenting, maybe it works fine for them.

This is exactly the case for me, i was aware of boost and other third party alternatives but just didn't feel the need to get them because i didn't really care for the app having a seizure everytime a video or gif wants to play and the influx of ads.

I use the Reddit Mobile app and I like it just fine. I didn’t like Apollo at all.

Downloaded the app, saw 4 ads in less than 30 seconds, so i deleted it. I have an adblocker on ffs
