This can also save you shoveling/plowing your driveway, simply drive over the accumulated snow at high speed. Make sure to avoid getting stuck however.

Jokes on you, there's no snow here because we keep killing the planet

[–] Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world 10 points 10 months ago

No more snow in winter because global warming we only get rain gang!!

A couple of abrupt breaking maneuvers on the highway and inertia will remove all the remainders

If there’s ice on your windows, sometimes it can be difficult to drive fast because of the visibility. In these cases, I recommend pouring some boiling water over the windows. That will remove the ice.

Technically correct!

It will also give you some nice air-conditioning with the window gone.

Also, the more you rev your engine the faster your car heats up and melts the snow

[–] FireRetardant@lemmy.world 10 points 10 months ago (1 children)

You want to get the RPMs into the redzone because thats where the most heat is made.

How can one sentence sound so right, and so wrong at the same time?

[–] Kiernian@lemmy.world 11 points 10 months ago

Just a heads-up, in some states "debris" coming off of your vehicle qualifies as an "unsecured load" and will get you a nasty ticket if it flies off and hits another car, moving this up from a shitty life pro-tip to an illegal one in some jurisdictions.

Even better whe ya get up to speed aim for the nearest tree, the suddeb lack of movement from speed will clean everuthing the speed doesnt get!

[–] NarrativeBear@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago

Can confirm, best option and you only need to do it once. After that no more worries or headaches.

Pfft. Use your gas powered leaf blower. Driving around like a troglodyte, for shame. This way you'll exercise supremacy over your neighbours by waking them up at the crack of dawn.

An excellent winter alternative to revving a motorcycle in the driveway for 30 minutes before slowly wobbling down the road.

[–] SomeGuy69@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago

Just turn on self driving. No brushed off car needed.
