Twitter has threatened to sue Meta Platforms over its new Threads platform, Semafor reported on Thursday, citing a letter sent to the Facebook parent's CEO Mark Zuckerberg by Twitter's lawyer Alex Spiro.

I don't know who Twitter thinks they're fooling with this. Pretty sure Meta already had the knowledge on how to build a successful social media platform or two. I haven't downloaded Threads yet and don't plan to because Meta, but I imagine it's basically Instagram without the picture requirement and some fancy url handling.

See, here's our one advantage. Zuck isn't expecting us to give him any trouble. We're just a bunch of fucking meme-making peasants, no threat to him in any universe. Which is why it's gonna be fucking great when we cut him off and retain our status as a direct competitor with his platforms.

He's watching Musk, who has how many companies worth of lawyers at his beck and call...? But we're the ones with the actually sound product. We're the ones both of them should really be scared of. We just so little still, barely worth notice yet...
