Didn’t know that, thanks :)
A few of those actually use emojis in the kaomoji
I do not use emojis.
ಠ︵ಠ
I think the "regular" emoji feel somewhat out of place here
Why would anyone need to express emotions in a universal language?
🙄
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I use text emoticons like I always have :D
Timeless.

Your parenthesis don't match .
I'm sorry.
OwO
For some emotions there isn't even an emoji yet.
UwU
And let's hope there never is.
this one. only this one:
We do a little posting
You can't go wrong with a table flips (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
they just make me (ノ`´)ノ ~┻━┻
and then I like to ─=≡Σ((((╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
Personally, I'm OK with emoji as long as you don't spam them (3+ times the same emoji is spamming imo)
1 emoji for a normal expression
2 emoji for a heavy expression
3 emoji is still acceptable but my personal limit of tolerance
Instance admins can add images to be used as emojis via the emoji picker.
I really like and
Also all of the agony ones
I like the cowboy one.
It's like I'm suffering but in a lil hat.
Finally, an emoji that's worth being that big
All of the above.
I resisted using emojis for a long time, but I changed jobs during Covid and was working from home permanently. I suddenly worked with a bunch of people I had never met before, and I realized that these people don't know my demeanor, so they don't know how to read my tone. I found emojis are almost necessary to convey tone in this situation. And after that, it kinda stuck.
I'm a fan of emojis that I can hear.
Regular emoji is just easier. But I do have a keyboard shortcut for the ¯\(ツ)/¯ which is my main textface, if annoying to edit his arm back in
None and I installed an emoji blocked on firefox.

I read somewhere that proper emojis are more accessible for screen readers, so I've avoided using the old style smiley versions and textmojis ever since.
I am old school :)
ASCII alone already does offer a rather wide range of emotions, no need for unicode. :D
My usage is fairly restricted:
- old school :^) for non-sarcastic irony
- (¬¬) for eye rolling
- shorthand emojis (e.g. if talking about Stardew Valley, instead of "the four hearts event" I might type "the 4♥ event")
- as a way to avoid a specific word for metalinguistic reasons (e.g. "⟨dog⟩ is the signifier, 🐶 is the signified")
Old school smileys :-) because My Keyboard app doesn't have a emoji board.
My keyboard has a built in text face keyboard
( ≧∀≦)ノ
I like the classic ಠᴗಠ text faces
