AFAIK anyone can nominate anyone else, so a nomination alone is basically meaningless. Also, if (and this is a big if) you believe the nazi brainwashing of jews and communists as the ultimate evil, then even the most brutal war against that supposed evil is a means to peace. Fucked up logic but logic nonetheless.
