Then one day you say to your SO you’re going to pick up your glasses in the bedroom, trip on the carpet, land on your desk chair. 3 hours later, you started the project. You will never finish it though.
"I just need to sit down, focus, skim a few chapters in this book, and take notes. It'll take twenty minutes, maybe even less. Easy."
stares at a blank document for ten minutes
"Let's watch a one-hour video essay on a completely unrelated topic, maybe that'll motivate me." (it won't)

Nah, starting is easy. I start new projects all the time. Finishing them though...
Unless it's someone else's project, then whatever.
Me: This is a really simple task, i can finish it in like 30min, an hour tops.
My brain: Exactly why we can postpone it longer.
