The Night Feeling is the thoughtful nostalgic emotion you feel when you drive alone at night, or see a city skyline at dusk with the wind in your face.

It’s a community for the feeling you get when you’re feeling lonely but at peace, thoughtful but melancholy, and homesick for something you can’t quite remember

Portland is great. But the most lamest parts of Portland is downtown.

Explore the neighborhoods.

Thanks, unfortunately just passing through for the night. I'll be back though. What's your favorite hood?

SE Hawthorne Blvd is fun from about 10th to 50th, with the highest concentration of stuff from 30th-40th. SE Belmont is parallel and the fun stuff is most concentrated maybe around 35th.
SE Division is the other high street parallel to those, it's fine and has some good places to eat but is a little more ritzy.

NE Alberta, N Mississippi, N Williams are also fun areas - just look on a map for the area that looks built up and full of restaurants and bars and go there.

Crazy that division is now classified as ritzy.

Lived there way back when and they had an awesome breaky spot around 30th and it was by no means classy. I think there was a whole foods or something.. but that was about it

What weather forecast is calling for snowpocalypse?

[–] chemical_cutthroat@lemmy.world 2 points 8 months ago

I was being dramatic, but the forecast is snow over the next few days. It won't hit freezing, though, so it'll be gone by mid day.

Ya wanna know how long ago it was?
I saw a movie in one of those old single theaters downtown... Jaws 3D!

Rain on pavement is the signature look of the PacNor.
