In my area of the rural US, our schools have stopped teaching cursive because teachers can't get kids to do any of the classwork or homework. It's a sad state of affairs.
I'm sorry to hear that. I actually have no clue how schools have changed since I left so who knows what they teach now.
The French love their Séyès lines but they are very cluttered and annoying. I learned with two lines like you did, in francophone Belgium.
French lining is a bit cluttered indeed. Still interested in trying them out in the future. I should have stated that I am from the Netherlands as the lining differs from country to country. Nice to know you guys have (had) the same paper in Belgium.
The only appeal of that lining to me would be if I needed to use insane amounts of paper for schoolwork because it is very cheap in summer before school starts again (I live in France)… even then I might decide to spend more on simpler lining.
