Lucky but probably deserved overall, good work to win the ball there and get a shot away

[OptaJoe] Declan Rice's goal after 95 minutes and 43 seconds is the latest winning goal in Premier League matches between Arsenal and Manchester United.

Hello, casual football follower here. It looked like the ball took a deflection off the leg of a Man U player. Would this not be considered an own goal? Appreciate the insight!

Only if it wasn't on target and was then deflected into the net.

It's an own goal if assuming that player is not touching the ball, it will go out of goal. In this case if the deflection didn't happen, the ball will still on target of the goal (ignore the goalkeeper), so it's not an own goal
