The Chatting Zone (TCZ) is also still around. Originally a British talker, the current server is hosted close to me, out of Omaha Nebraska in the USA. Nowhere near as popular now as back then.

I do remember Lost Souls, yeah.
And that Papyrus font... I can feel the 90's-era PC gaming vibes radiating off of it. Love it.
I remember Lost Souls. I made it my temporary home while VikingMUD (my home mud) was down.
I played a fair few MUDs back in the day, but what does LP stand for, here?
LP was the initials of the developer. What was cool about LP muds was the ability to code new areas/weapons/etc directly in the game. You, as a wizard, could create a new area and load the objects and interact with them immediately.

Cool. Honestly, I've was nostalgic recently and looking around trying to find any MUD that was still operating and healthy. I'll check it out.
I still MUD on the server I started back in the mid 90s. I don't play enough or really that good at it. I'm basically one of the oldest accounts with the least XP. But it's still fun.
I had a lot of fun playing ZeeMud back in the day. Apparently it’s still running, but the last time I checked it was mostly a graveyard. I tried to get back on and play a bit… but it feels depressing… like going back to your old home that’s now abandoned…
Just checked lostsouls by hitting port 23, 22 players online… a bit sad… I remember when there were at least 100-200 online at once.
