Pretty rad setup, I like to see the Spirit of Ingenuity especially as it relates to weed heads. Surely this isn't your first grow, how long have you been at it? I see your MT is super rare so it's prob your first cycle with it, but have you grown the Qookies before?

Been growing for a few years now. Started back in 2020 during the lock down. This is only my 2nd grow with the flood and drain setup but I'm absolutely loving it! I've grown the original SMQ back when it was first released in Oct of 22. Great smoke! This is the Remixed version with a M/F reversal so I'm very excited see the difference between the two.

Got the setup idea from a fellow growmie on the From Seed to Stoned discord server during the last grow off competition. I took my CAD drafting experience and mocked up what I posted below.

Is it a flood and drain/bottom feed setup? Or is just the container you use to hold and water to runoff?

Flood and drain baby! It's a 2x2 flood table in a 3x3 tent. I did a little DIY and built something to keep my 40gal res under the tent. Pumps into the tent on a schedule and drains back into the res. Keeping the SMQR here until it's time to transplant into autopots for the 2x4.

I need something like that for my aeroponics so I can change and clean the reservoir easier. I just didnโ€™t like the options as most I was coming up with needed an additional pump to pump the water back. Or a potential leak/flood point.

Maybe when I get it out to the garage instead of the carpet basement.

I have two pumps. One that stays in the res which handles pumping water to the table, and another that I only drop in when it's time to dump and refill the water.

Res pump: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003WRIWJO

Drian/fill pump: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B09ZV2364K

The res pump uses 1/2" tubing. I did have to buy an additional adapter from the hardware store that threaded onto the pump and had the barbed end to push the tubing onto it. I spiced in two inline taps so I can cut access to the flood table and instead have it rerouted back into the res for easy mixing. The drain uses 3/4" tubing to ensure it drains more than it can fill. All tubes are zip tied to their connectors to prevent leaks.

The drain/fill pump has a garden hose permanently attached to it. I bought one of those ball valve hose attachments so I can turn the flow of water on and off, even with the pump running. It's a 50' garden hose so I can snake it outside and water the grass with my old nutes to get every last bit of use out of it. To fill the res, I'm using plain old tap water for this grow. The new nute line I'm trying out, Cropsalt, recommended tap over RO if your tap water was up to par. I have a 5gal bucket that I keep the pump in. Place that sucker under the bathtub and the res fills up in a few minutes.
