There are different types of amish people and they have different attitudes towards modern technology. I remember watching some video where they were building a barn and using battery powered tools but using a gasoline generator to charge the batteries because grid electricity is forbidden.

I have the same thought for a brief moment, but then I realized that not only do I not have authority to police their decision, but I also don't care anyways.
