It’s a LLM just like chatGPT, but smaller.

With AI unless it's stated otherwise it's pretty much always going to be a chatbot.

Although calling them a chatbot is a little bit of an injustice because while they're not necessarily sci-fi level self-aware yet they are definitely more than just a chatbot, they just use a chatbot interface which I think is the confusion.

So we shouldn't really be calling them chatbots at all they are LLMs
