He did really well on shots in the restricted area, but was pretty awful from everywhere else.

Giannis took 197 shots in the paint outside of the restricted area, shooting just 27.9%. That's by far the worst out of the 62 players with that many attempts.

He took 192 midrange shots and shot 35.9%. That's the worst out of the 36 players with that many attempts.

He took 171 3s and shot 27.5%. That's the worst out of the 201 players with that many attempts.

The FT stat is kind of cheating, since he took the most FTAs this season. But his FT% is still pretty abysmal. You have to go down to Gobert who had the 36th most attempts before getting to a worse free throw shooter.

But all of those outside shots set up his restricted area success. He's wildly successful on offense.

He was forced to do more on offense this year because of Middleton’s absence. I don’t think it’s crazy to think his efficiency will return next season. Hopefully he’s working on some stuff in Greece, maybe a post game.
