From the Blind discussion

This idiotic behavior is making me feel ashamed for being a lefty 😭

On a positive note, it’s helping me feel more empathy for conservatives & people frustrated with wokeness

Just remember. Not all leftists are pro jihad nutjobs

100% agree.

Scratch a liberal, etc.

I'm as Left as they come but I feel more empathy for fascists and racists.

As a fellow leftie, [insert horrifically racist/transphobic/genocidal comment here]. Ya know, cause true leftists are [insert description of a conservative/liberal].

"I don't like the aesthetic of conservatives but I agree with them on literally everything"

There was a series of completely non-threatening sit-ins (like a couple hours, out of the way of any work) like five years ago, and Google immediately shat itself and started making concessions before any demands were even made. Interesting to see the difference.

tech labor market right now is the weakest it has been since dotcom bubble (other than covid which recovered after literally a few months), even worse than the great financial crisis since that didn't really hit tech, while 5 years ago was the strongest it has been in decades

"Don't be evil"

"Ok you can be a little evil, as a treat."

The next move should be moving to Cuba and helping them launch their own internet infrastructure

[–] hungrybread@hexbear.net 1 points 6 months ago

If that was on the table I'd be there in a heartbeat

Yeah, Google is not going to cancel a 1.2B contract over some petty ethical concerns

[–] RedWizard@hexbear.net 16 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Come along way from "Do no evil." I see.
