How can you even know of we're in a simulation? We might be a Boltzmann brain, the universe may have popped into existence just now with all our memories of it existing previously, Descartes' 'evil demon' may be deceiving us, we really have no way of knowing.

I seem to remember cohagen being the antagonist of total recall where Arnold Schwarzenegger gets his memory wiped at a couple different points and goes to mars and meets a prostitute with three tiddies but IM too lazy to look any of that up.

Remember that Elon endorsed the simulation theory on Joe Rogan. He may have done it for entertainment. Or he might be an idiot. With all his other decisions lately, I'll just let you consider who sides with it.
He was once asked what the first question he would ask a fully conscious AI. After about 3 minutes of silence, he said, "what's on the other side of the simulation?"
Sure, it sounds like a smart question. Incredibly deep even. Only one problem: the AI is trapped in the same layer of reality we are.
